Hi, I’m Hannah, the creator behind The Gorge Bakehouse and I’m delighted to welcome you to my world! Nestled in the heart of Cheddar, Somerset, I specialise in crafting bespoke wedding and celebration cakes that are as delicious as they are beautiful.

I’ve been lucky enough to work in Michelin-starred kitchens, learning from some incredible chefs and mentors in the industry. Those experiences didn’t just teach me how to master techniques and appreciate quality ingredients, they also showed me the value of hard work, creativity and a deep love for what you do.

Driven by my hunger to keep learning (and enjoying delicious food!), I earned a first-class honours degree in Culinary Arts Management from Birmingham University. It was the perfect blend of refining my culinary skills and gaining the business knowledge I’d need to bring my dreams to life.

In 2020, I took the leap and started The Gorge Bakehouse, something I’d dreamt of for many years. Initially to bring joy during our lockdown days with sweet doorstop deliveries, to now creating beautiful centrepieces for your weddings and celebrations. How lucky I am to call this my job!  

But for me, food isn’t just a job or even just a passion, it’s part of who I am and nothing makes me happier than sharing that with you all. I can’t wait to hear your story and create something amazing for your special moments.
